Holiday Lights at the Bronx Zoo

Holiday Lights is an annual tradition at the Bronx Zoo. Enjoy immersive light experiences, hands-on activities, holiday entertainment, and delicious food and drinks. The event includes some new offerings this year, such as the snow tube slides, an epic illuminated ice-themed throne, virtual snowball throwing, and much more.

This seasonal event has been delighting people of all ages for more than three decades. Located in the garden’s conservatory, the model trains roll through a landscape of New York bridges and buildings made from plant parts like palm fronds, pinecones, and cinnamon sticks. During select evenings, the show opens up after dark. You can sip seasonal cocktails while taking in show’s magic. Whether young or old, the Holiday Train Show has sparked delight in generations of visitors.

Irish New Year’s Eve

The Rambling House, a longtime institution in the Woodlawn neighborhood, is hosing a special New Year’s party at 7pm (midnight in Ireland). The restaurant advertises a special dinner, as well as milk and cookies, and welcomes festive pajamas.
