Applications Open for Yankees’ Youth Leadership Award
The award comes with a stipend and a special ceremony at Yankee Stadium.
Bronx Community Board 11 is accepting applications for the 2026 New York Yankees Community Council Youth Leadership Award.
Each year, the New York Yankees recognize outstanding Bronx high school students who demonstrate a strong commitment to leadership, academic achievement, and community service. The award honors students who have made a positive impact in their neighborhoods and serve as role models for their peers.
Recipients of the Youth Leadership Award will receive a $750 stipend, courtesy of the New York Yankees, and will be celebrated during a special on-field ceremony at Yankee Stadium prior to a game.
Five students will be selected by Community Board 11 to receive the award. To be eligible, applicants must (1) be 14 and 20 years old, (2) perform 50 hours of leadership/volunteer work and (3) reside in Bronx Community District 11 or perform their service in Bronx Community District 11.
A sponsoring organization must sign off that the applicant meets the eligibility requirements.
