The Jets are in the midst of an historic season. They have been 0-7 only two other times in the organization’s history, with one of those seasons ending in a 1-15 record. One fan’s recent viral interview summed up how we’re all feeling: “I was born into this and I’m always a Jets fan, but I hate this team.” To be a Jets fan is to know misery, and misery loves company. So here are the best sports bars in the Bronx to watch the Jets get slaughtered this season. Maybe you could also catch a Giants game too? At least they seem to be having fun.

1. Brewski’s Bar & Grill
3718 E. Tremont Ave

Brewski’s Bar & Grill offers a down-to-earth, community-friendly atmosphere that mixes sports-bar energy with a great food and craft-beer options. If you’re looking for a place that strikes a balance between lively bar energy with good food and beer, this is it. Whether you’re catching a game with friends, grabbing a burger and brew, or just looking for a relaxed spot in the neighborhood — Brewski’s fits the bill.

2. Rambling House
4292 Katonah Ave

This Woodlawn institution is the ideal of the authentic Irish-pub: rich wood furnishings, Irish memorabilia on the walls, big screens for sports, live music on weekends and events like trivia nights. There are ample TVs around the restaurant and even more ample seating. The food hits the spot during a game: juicy burgers, crunchy fries and spicy wings. They also make a great shepherds pie if you want traditional Irish fare.

3. Bronx Draft House
884 Gerard Ave

Of all the sports bars congregating near Yankee stadium, we recommend the Bronx Draft House. They have killer food, an extensive beer selection and the atmosphere is welcoming and laid-back. A great place to cheer up after another crushing Jets loss.

4. Morris Park Inn
1024 Morris Park Ave

This place strikes the perfect balance of cozy neighborhood bar and lively sports lounge. It’s a small space, but never seems too crowded. There are TVs throughout the bar. They have all your favorite beers and the food is slammin’.

5. Bronx Alehouse
216 W 238th Street

You can’t go wrong at this neighborhood bar just south of Van Cortlandt Park. They have an extensive draft beer selection, as well as beer-and-shot combos. The food is terrific. They have classics like burgers and wings, as well as more adventurous items like cheesesteak eggrolls, fried chicken tacos and brisket sandwiches. TVs for watching sports are placed throughout the restaurant.

6. Billy’s Sports Bar
856 River Ave

This is the go-to sports bar in the Bronx for loud cheers and high-energy fun. The space is massive, with several floors and a rooftop bar. It can get a bit crowded, but sometimes that is the best atmosphere for a big game. They have portable beer taps, pizza, burgers. . . everything you need.

7. John Mulligan’s Fireside Pub
4272 Katonah Ave

This staple of Woodlawn’s bar scene keeps landing in the spotlight. Rapper Ice-T said they make the best burger in the Bronx. They were also part of feature by Barstool Sports during the pandemic. But what’s kept this place in business since 1977 is that it consistently blends neighborhood pub charm with hearty food and plenty of character.

8. Jay’s Tavern
1556 Williamsbridge Rd

If you are looking for a true dive to catch the game, head to Jay’s Tavern. The place is casual and unpretentious — ideal if you’re looking for somewhere laid-back to unwind. Bar tabs are reasonable and they have an outdoor seating area. Conversations about sports can get a bit lively too!

9. HK Kitchen and Drafthouse
3599 E Tremont Ave

This place is built around a sports-friendly environment: TVs throughout, draft beers, and a setup you’d bring to friends for the game. The food menu is solid too. Some of the highlights include fried yuca balls, po’boy sandwich and lobster mac n’ cheese.
